Study Abroad Housing Rome
Study abroad housing Rome listings on this page are whole furnished flats, not single rooms in shared flats and not a residence. We list 48 flats, and in November 2026 the median rent was €2,600 a month, so they suit a group of friends splitting the rent far better than one student alone. If you need a single room, we do not have one in Rome right now.

Check with your program first
Many programs in Rome place students in apartments they arrange themselves, and some require first-year students to use them. Ask whether you may live independently, and whether your program needs your address by a set date, before you pay for anything.
If you may choose for yourself, study abroad housing Rome listings here are one option for a group. A single room from another site may suit you better if you are travelling alone.
What the rent works out to per person
The monthly rent is for the whole flat. Most have one or two bedrooms, and a few have three or four. When we checked in November 2026, about a quarter cost under €2,000 a month, and the lowest rent was €1,150.
Among the flats that state how many people they sleep, the typical flat sleeps four. If a flat is full, the rent per person has a median near €760 and starts near €340. Those numbers count every bed and any sofa bed, so expect to pay more per person for a bedroom of your own.
A few flats are far above the median, up to €18,500 a month, so check the price on each one.
What the flats include
Nearly all of the flats list wifi, heating, a fridge and freezer, and linen and towels, and most list air conditioning and a washing machine. Most are also listed as non-smoking.
You rent the whole flat, so you share it only with the people you bring. Check the listing for what it says about bills and any one-time fees before you book.
Where the flats are
Flats are spread across the city, including central addresses such as Via del Portico d’Ottavia and Vicolo Orbitelli, and streets further out such as Via Alessandria, Viale Giuseppe Mazzini and Via Tiburtina.
Central flats tend to cost more. Look up the journey to your classes before you choose, since the cheaper flats are often the further ones.
Dates and booking from abroad
When we checked in November 2026, most flats showed a free date by the end of December. Availability changes, so check the listing for your own dates.
You can reserve online from the listing before you arrive in Italy. If you would rather talk it through first, you can book a call with our team.
