Lorenzo de Medici Student Housing
Lorenzo de Medici student housing on this page means rooms in shared flats within about 3 km of the institute's main building on Via Faenza, for students who arrange their own stay in Florence. We list 143 rooms in that radius, from €250 a month with a median of €500. These are private rentals on our site, separate from any housing the school arranges.
Student Housing Abroad is an independent housing website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM), and these listings are not school housing.

Ask the school first
Lorenzo de' Medici has its own housing office, and many programs that send students there arrange apartments for them. Ask the school and your home program whether you may live independently before you pay for anything.
If you may choose for yourself, the rooms below are one place to start. Your agreement would be with the owner of the flat, not with the school.
What is close to Via Faenza
Within about 1.5 km of the main building we list 62 rooms, with a median of €520 a month, including rooms on Borgo Ognissanti and Via del Ponte alle Mosse. Within 3 km the count rises to 143, which is almost every room we list in Florence.
The centre of Florence is compact, so most of these rooms are a walk or a short bus ride from class. Distances here are straight lines, so check the route on a map before you book.
What these rooms include
You rent a furnished bedroom and share the kitchen and living areas. In this radius every room lists wifi, and about nine in ten list a cleaning service.
Flats here are smaller than in many cities: the typical one holds six people, and a quarter hold four or fewer. About four in ten rooms are in a building with an elevator, and only about one in ten list air conditioning, which matters if you stay into June.
Dates for a spring or fall semester
When we checked in November 2026, 34 of the 143 rooms showed a free date by the end of January and 57 by the end of February. Rooms open up a few at a time, so spring students should look early.
Another 26 rooms showed a free date in June or July, ahead of the fall semester. Choose a room whose date matches the start of your classes, not only your budget.
What to check before you book
Check whether the room is a single or a twin, since a bed in a shared bedroom costs less than a room of your own. Then check the bathroom and the number of flatmates, which differ from flat to flat.
Each Lorenzo de Medici student housing listing here shows its rent per month in euros. Compare the full cost and the walk to Via Faenza before you reserve.
